HAECO Completes Winter Austrian 777 Support

HAECO has completed scheduled maintenance checks for Austrian Airlines’ fleet of five Boeing 777 aircraft, carried out over the 2016-17 winter season.

Work was carried out across two HAECO bases: first at its Hong Kong facility, where the MRO performed 15-month/6,000 flight-hour checks on three of the aircraft, two of which were also fitted with Honeywell’s aircraft information management system 2 (AIM-2) offering.

HAECO’s Xiamen subsidiary completed C-checks on the remaining two aircraft at its facility in China.

All of the Boeing jets were redelivered to Austrian this month.

The HAECO-Austrian cooperation started in 2015, and has led to the Hong Kong-based aftermarket specialist completing eight work packages for the carrier involving maintenance checks, AIM-2 installations and crew rest area modifications.
