HAITEC To Complete A320 PTF For PacAvi

PacAvi has delivered an A320 to German MRO HAITEC to complete its conversion from passenger to freighter aircraft.

PacAvi has undertaken initial work on the conversion which is the engineering and leasing company's first for the A320.

The conversion is now to be completed at HAITEC’s hangar at Frankfurt-Hahn airport. PacAvi CEO Stephan Hollmann said the company expects to gain supplemental type certificate for the conversion from the FAA and EASA in 2016.

“There are 50-60 narrowbody freighters of A320 and A321 size produced annually and we are well positioned to dominate this market in the coming years," he said.

“We expect HAITEC to account for about a dozen commercial conversions a year.”
