UK-based Hardide Coatings is investing $7m to build a new 2,415m2 manufacturing plant in Virginia, US.

Hardide produces a range of coatings for the aerospace sector, among others, and says the new facility will expand its reach in North America.

The site in Martinsville is located in an enterprise zone alongside companies such as Rolls-Royce and will include chemical vapour deposition reactors for the application of its coatings to metal parts.
