IATA and IAG make major announcements related to MRO.

AFI-KLM E&M won a China Eastern Airlines contract for a component support program for 15 Boeing 787-9s.

Atitech completed a heavy maintenance and transition check at Naples on the first ex-Saudia Embraer E170LR for AerFin, which will place the aircraft in its BeyondPool support program. It is the first of seven to be remarketed for sale/lease.

Bombardier received FAA and Transport Canada approval of an ISA+40C upgrade for the CRJ700 and CRJ900. American Airlines is the first customer.

Embraer won a Kenya Airways contract for spares support for 15 E190s under its ECIP inventory-planning program.

Epcor (AFI-KLM E&M) won an El Al contract to provide APS5000 APU maintenance for its Boeing 787s.

IAE International Aero Engines won a non-exclusive tree-year Vietnam Airlines contract for V2500 maintenance.

Lufthansa Technik won a Total Component Support contract from Avianca Brasil for Airbus A320s and A330s. The deal includes establishing home-base stock in Sao Paulo. In addition, it will support the airline in the build up of in-house MRO capabilities.

Lufthansa Technik signed an MOU with Norwegian to extend a Total Engine Support agreement for CFM56-7Bs for 115 Boeing 737-800s.

Monarch Aircraft Engineering is opening a £2 million ($2.6 million), 2,140 m2 (23,000 ft.2) component maintenance center in Northampton, England.

Pratt & Whitney signed a GTF maintenance agreement with JetBlue for its Airbus A220s. JetBlue is taking bids for airframe maintenance.
