Méheust Takes The Helm At CFM

New man at the top of engine manufacturer.

CFM International has appointed Gaël Méheust as its new president and CEO, replacing Jean-Paul Ebanga with immediate effect.

In his new position at the GE and Safran Aircraft Engines joint venture, Méheust will oversee relationships with customers, government agencies, industry associations, and the media.

Since March 2010, he held the post of executive vice president of sales and marketing for the Safran Aircraft Engines unit.

In the role, Méheust headed up the launch of the LEAP engine program which has since garnered nearly 11,600 orders.

CFM confirmed that his predecessor Ebanga, who had been CFM president and CEO since February 2011, will move to another position within Safran.
