Magnetic MRO has added a new line maintenance customer in the form of Spanish regional carrier Air Nostrum. The contract will see Magnetic MRO service three of the airline’s Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft with its full offering of line services at locations in Zagreb and Copenhagen, where it has operated an outstation since summer 2017.
Air Nostrum, an independent carrier which operates as a franchisee of Iberia, operates a fleet of six ATR 72-600s along with 40 CRJs.
Support options include access to technicians, tooling and logistics, and Magnetic said providing additional services in Zagreb was done to “create convenient and efficient solutions” during the summer season.
“The strong presence in strategically located international airports puts us in a great position to serve Magnetic MRO’s customer relationship as well as international growth strategies.” said Andrei Tchurikov, line maintenance manager at Magnetic MRO.
He also revealed that the company, which was acquired by Chinese investor Guangzhou Hangxin Aviation Technology in January 2018, plans to set up two new outstations in Groningen and Hamburg airports by the end of March to provide line maintenance and AOG support to CRJ aircraft operated by Estonian airline Nordica.
