Monarch Aircraft Engineering has been granted approval to add the Airbus A320neo aircraft to its MRO capabilities.
Following the EASA Part 145 certification, announced by UK-headquartered Monarch on Sept. 26, the new generation aircraft type has been added to its line maintenance station in Malaga with its technicians now able to provide airframe support.
David Doherty, head of commercial at Monarch Aircraft Engineering, said adding the A320neo aircraft to its Part 145 certificate is a show of commitment to its third-party customer base.
“This expands our capabilities at our line station in Malaga and will allow us to build stronger relationships with new and existing customers,” Doherty added.
Monarch announced plans earlier this year to expand the Malaga line station where it provides Boeing 787 services as a member of the aircraft manufacturer’s aftermarket network.
It has also expanded other European line stations this year, adding locations in Nice and Edinburgh to its existing maintenance network in summer 2017.
