Austrian Airlines selects Ameco Beijing for C checks
Ameco Beijing, a provider of MRO services for airframes, engines and components of commercial aircraft, and Austrian Airlines signed a contract for six aircraft C checks. These C checks include four Boeing 767 and two Boeing 777 aircraft. The layover will span from November to March.
Med-View Airline signs heavy maintenance agreement with JorAMCo
JorAMCo provided Med-View Airline, the Nigeria based carrier, with base maintenance services for one Boeing 737 aircraft. The maintenance services include C-check tasks in addition to service bulletins and airworthiness directives. Med-View operates domestic scheduled services from Lagos and plans to add regional and interational services before the end of 2014. The airline also operates charter flights, predominantly for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims travelling from Nigeria.
Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services signs maintenance agreement with Nordwind Airlines
Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services and Russia based Nordwind Airlines signed a new maintenance agreement that will include heavy checks, pylon modification, full painting, landing gear replacement, avionics upgrades and cabin modifications on seven 767-300ERs that will enter service this month. Nordwind Airlines and Boeing Shanghai began working together in February 2013 and both parties are exploring future business opportunities to further expand their relationship.
Sabena technics signs contract with Air Tahiti Nui
Sabena technics signed an Airbus A340 heavy maintenance contract with Air Tahiti Nui, a French airline based in Papeete. Under this agreement, Sabena technics will perform heavy maintenance visits on two of the airline’s Airbus A340s. The checks will be carried out in Sabena technics' facilities in Bordeaux starting in November.
Vector Aerospace signs engine services agreement with Solenta Aviation Group
Vector Aerospace Engine Services-Atlantic (ES-A) signed a three-year engine service agreement with the Solenta Aviation group of companies based in Johannesburg. Per the terms of the agreement, Vector will provide fixed-wing aircraft engine MRO service to the Solenta Aviation Groups’ turboprop engine fleet from its facilities in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Johannesburg and Nairobi.
Boeing Shanghai to provide 747-8 line maintenance service for Silk Way West
Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services signed an agreement with Baku, Azerbaijan-based Silk Way West Airlines to provide line maintenance service for the cargo carrier’s recently acquired 747-8 freighters. Silk Way Airlines provides cargo services for customers serving Europe, Middle East and Far East including South Korea, China and Hong Kong. The airline operates seven Boeing freighters: two Boeing 747-8s, three 747-400s and two 767-300s, as well as Ilyushin and Antonov aircraft.
