MTU, Barfield Extend LRU Partnership

North American union involves component offerings on the V2500 engine type.

MTU Maintenance and Miami-based MRO provider Barfield have extended their line replaceable units contract for the V2500 engine by a further five years.

The agreement covers complete V2500 LRU management, on a fixed price basis from MTU’s facility in Richmond, Canada.

The company said the agreement expands for all variants of the V2500 the range of services the component specialist can offer its airframe customers beyond its avionics, instrument, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic component offerings.

The engine is one of the prevalent engine options for the Airbus A320 aircraft.
