MTU Maintenance Strengthens Widebody Aftermarket Position

MTU Maintenance says it has conducted research which suggests shop visits for the GE90 will “grow by 13 per cent annually until 2020”. The engine maintenance service provider is confident that it will increase its “GE90 market share in the near future” expecting to see “around 2,000 GE90 engines in operation by 2020”. In addition, its Hannover facility has completed the GE90 test cell correlation, allowing the engines to be certified and tested at this location. MTU provides customers with on-wing services as well as technical and logistical support including LRU-support and also has a spare engine pool for the GE90.
