MTU Wins BH Air V2500-A5 Engine MRO Contract

Bulgarian airline becomes MTU's first V2500 customer from the country.

MTU Maintenance has entered into an agreement with Bulgarian carrier BH Air for maintenance on its V2500-A5 engines.

The terms of the deal cover MRO services along with on-site and spare leasing support for the six International Engine Alliance (IAE) turbofan engines, the engine option for three of BH Air’s fleet of A320 family jets.

The airline, which primarily services the Bulgarian tourism market from countries such as Germany, Israel and Denmark, becomes Hannover-headquartered MTU’s first V2500 engine customer from Bulgaria.

MTU has more than 80 V2500 customers globally and said it has completed in excess of 4,300 shop visits on the engine in the past 28 years.
