Nordwind Signs Deal With Boeing Shanghai

Russian charter carrier Nordwind Airlines has agreed a support contract for seven 767s with Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services.

Under the deal the MRO, a joint venture between Boeing, Shanghai Airport Authorities and China Eastern Airlines, will provide heavy maintenance checks, pylon modifications, painting, landing gear replacement, avionics upgrades and cabin modifications on the new aircraft, which are due to enter into service later this month.

Nordwind currently has 10 767s on order, which will take its fleet up to 37 Boeing and nine Airbus aircraft.
