Rolls-Royce Announced Rhinestahl is the preferred tooling provider Rhinestahl Corporation

Rhinestahl Is Announced As A Rolls-Royce Preferred Supplier

Rhinestahl can add this designation to its list of wins this past year.

On April 18, it was announced Rhinestahl Customer Tooling Solutions is a Rolls-Royce tooling preferred supplier. This includes tooling for the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB and Trent 1000 engines.

Alan Oak, Rhinestahl chief operating officer, says that many of the tooling provider’s customers have Rolls-Royce engines and will now be able to have Rhinestahl support those needs as well.

According to Aviation Week’s Fleet Discovery, the Trent 1000 makes up 5% and the Trent XWB makes up 11% of Rolls-Royce engines in-service, on order and on option.

In April 2015, Rhinestahl was announced as one of three licensed suppliers for the CFM Leap Engine tooling. Leap engines are a product of CFM International, a 50/50 joint venture between GE and Safran Aircraft Engines.

The company announced in February 2017 that FlyDubai chose Rhinestahl as its Leap engine stand and tooling provider for its Leap-1B entry into service (EIS).

Anticipating additional customer announcements from the Middle East and Asia in the next few weeks, Rhinestahl has won 17 of 20 EIS customer bids for the Leap engine tooling. Currently, the provider has a 99.8% on-time delivery rate.
