Sabena Wins First 777 Cabin Retrofit Contract

French MRO Sabena technics has signed its first cabin modification contract for the 777 since gaining certification for the aircraft last year.

Under the terms of the contract signed with Air France, Sabena will perform cabin and systems modifications on two of the flag carrier’s 777 aircraft at its maintenance facilities in Bordeaux.

Modifications will include the integration of Air France‘s “BEST” cabin as well as the installation of a new in-flight entertainment system.

Anne Brachet, EVP of Air France Industries, said it opted to work with Sabena as it was looking for a “reliable partner to complement AFI KLM E&M capacities in Paris and Amsterdam.”
