SilkAir Agrees Pilot Training Deal With Boeing

Singapore-based SilkAir has entered into a five-year exclusive pilot training agreement with Boeing, with the aim of supporting the airline’s fleet transition to Boeing aircraft. Under the agreement, Boeing Flight Services will provide flight training at Boeing's Singapore training campus for the airline's new 737 fleet. "SilkAir pilots will soon train with the most experienced 737 instructors," said Leslie Thng, SilkAir CEO. The carrier ordered 23 737-800 NGs and 31 737 MAX 8s in November 2012.
