SR Technics Expands With Swiss, Extends Air Europa Contract

Zurich-headquartered MRO announced new agreements this week.

SR Technics has expanded its MRO services contracts with Swiss International Airlines while extending the length of its component support agreement with Spanish carrier Air Europa.

The Swiss contract covers aircraft base and cabin maintenance, hangar and infrastructure and additional services including aircraft in the fleet its Edelweiss subsidiary.

In total, the number of aircraft covered by the services include 86 – 51 narrowbodies and 35 widebodies.

Swiss’ entire Airbus fleet will be covered by C-checks, while back-shop and cabin maintenance work will be conducted specifically on the A320 family, A340, A330, Boeing 777 and Bombardier C Series aircraft.

The work will be split between SR Technics’ facilities in Zurich and Geneva.

Meanwhile, the Air Europa extension covers the carrier’s fleet of Boeing 737s and Airbus A330s A330 aircraft for a further five years.

Services will include component maintenance, logistics support and access to pool and on-site stock for 31 aircraft in total from SR Technics’ bases in Switzerland, the UK and Spain.

Along with the extended Boeing and Airbus agreement, SR Technics also covers parts repair Air Europa’s Embraer 190 fleet along with separate wheels and brakes support on all 45 aircraft in the fleet.
