SR Technics has signed an agreement to service thrust reversers on UK low-cost carrier easyJet’s CFM56-5B engines.
Under the terms of the three-year contract, the Swiss MRO will provide inspection and repair services for the engine types which power its fleet of Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
Work will be undertaken at SR Technics’ main base in Zurich, where it holds the in-house capabilities.
Gary Smith, easyJet’s head of engineering, said: “The ability of SR Technics to meet easyJet’s growing fleet maintenance requirements has already been proven with their support of our line and base maintenance. The overhaul of our A320CEO family thrust reversers represents another significant step forward in our relationship with SR Technics.”
The thrust reverser agreement expands the cooperation between the parties, with SR Technics having previously supported EasyJet with line and base maintenance services at facilities in the UK, Malta and Switzerland.
Last year, easyJet extended its base maintenance agreement with SR Technics in Malta by another five years.
