ST Aero Keeps Expanding Capabilities

ST Aerospace foresees decent growth in the overall maintenance market, and president Lim Serh Ghee is increasing the MRO’s capabilities.

He wants to add value for his mostly long-term customers by decreasing turn times on aircraft, engine and component repairs and further increase his long-term customer share.

Lim says ST Aero has acquired plentiful data on the aircraft it supports and he expects to exploit this data further in the near future.

“We have been investing for growth over the past few years,” Lim notes.

Next year ST Aero will prototype an A330-200 passenger-to-freight conversion and induct its first A320 for conversion to a freighter.

“The company continues to expand support for high-value aircraft components, as well as grow the cabin interiors business.”

Lim is also adding a widebody hangar in Guangzhou, China.
