Turkish Airlines’ Maintenance Arm Renews Liebherr Systems Repair Deal

New systems repair agreement will cover a selection of Airbus aircraft types.

Turkish Technic, the MRO division of Turkish Airlines, has renewed its repair and services agreement with Liebherr-Aerospace for systems on the fleet of Airbus A320, A330 and A340 aircraft it maintains.

The agreement was announced in Istanbul this week and is an extension of a previous agreement signed by the parties in 2013.

It covers the Airbus aircraft types in the fleet of Turkish Airlines as well as third-party customers serviced by Turkish Technic. Salih Ince, component services director at Turkish Technic, said the outsourced contract has proved beneficial to the maintenance provider.

Turkish Technic has been very satisfied by the high service level of performance and responsiveness of the Liebherr team over the past four years,” Ince said. “This was one of the key decision factors to renew the maintenance agreement between our two companies”.

Support services will be conducted at Liebherr’s specialist landing gear and flight control systems shop in Lindenberg, and its Toulouse facility which is a center of excellence for air management systems.
