Turkish Technic To Expand APU Services

The MRO arm of Turkish Airlines has received worldwide authorisation to provide MRO services on all Honeywell 131-9B auxiliary power units on 737 aircraft.

Turkish Technic, which provides maintenance support to third parties, is based at Istanbul’s two airports – Atatürk and Sabiha Gokcen.

The authorisation from Honeywell is an extension to its previous certificate which enabled Turkish Technic to provide MRO on APUs to airlines based in Turkey.

It also allows the MRO to offer support across a wider range of components, confirmed CEO Ahmet Karaman.
