Helicopter parts trader Tradewind International (TWI) has invested in inventory for fixed wing aircraft for the first time.
The Wisconsin-based spares supplier has bought assets from the US division of International Defence Systems (IDSUS) and received parts for Airbus, Boeing and Fokker aircraft.
“TWI has served the helicopter industry for more than 25 years, and that will not change.
However, the recent inventory purchase from IDSUS is very significant, in that it opens up a new opportunity for us,” said Tom Huismann, VP of TWI.
“This recent purchase will help us to further diversify our inventory, and enable us to use our capabilities to serve more of the aerospace industry.”
