Aeroco Group International, the UK-headquartered aircraft cabin and component maintenance specialist, plans to double the size of its newly-acquired facility located in Stockport.
The company took control of the 20,000 sq. ft. facility last month but citing a surge in customer demand, it will now increase capacity at the site to 40,000 sq.
According to Aeroco, which was formed in 2001, the fit out of the facility has already begun and will become operation by mid-2018 to support customers with aircraft cabin, component maintenance and advanced manufacturing services.
Jonathan Bird, managing director of Aeroco Group International, said in a release today (Mar. 15) that the further investment reinforces its ambition and support levels for its customer base, which includes airlines, lessors, MROs and component traders.
“We are seeing continued growth with airlines increasing focus to improve the look and feel of their cabins and the expanding capabilities within the aircraft component repairs and overhauls,” he said
Aeroco’s business has grown at 33% over the past three years, Bird told MRO-Network.com in January, following the company expanding its cabin capabilities to include seat maintenance and galley overhauls in 2013.
Headquartered at nearby Manchester Airport, some of its airline customers include British low-cost carriers Jet2, easyJet and Manchester-based Thomas Cook Airlines.
