UPN Issued On Dukes Aerospace Parts

The FAA has issued an unapproved parts notification (UPN) with regards 81 components returned to service by Dukes Aerospace. An FAA investigation has revealed the firm, which manufactures and supplies parts for business jets, improperly maintained and overhauled the components and returned them to service between March 2011 and March 2013. The UPN states that Dukes Aerospace did not maintain the parts in compliance with approved methods and modified parts without using approved data. The UPN (pdf) contains a list of the component affected, which include fuel boost pumps and check valves.
