VD Gulf to Perform Boeing 777 Maintenance

The UAE-based MRO has gained Bermuda aviation authorities approval to provide maintenance services for the aircraft.

Volga-Dnepr Gulf (VD Gulf), Volga-Dnepr Technics’ branch in the Middle East, has gained Bermuda aviation authorities approval to provide Boeing 777 maintenance, repair and overhaul, the company said.  “With this approval, VD Gulf has extended its base and line maintenance capability from Boeing 747-400, 737CL/NG, and Airbus A320 family to also cover B777-200/300”, VD Gulf added in a statement.

“Through constant dialogue with our customers, we know that the introduction of the 777 into our work scope will benefit not only companies working with VD Gulf, but the region as well, facilitating an upgrade of the MRO market in Sharjah and the Middle East”, VD Gulf commercial director Ayrat Gilmutdinov said.

VD Gulf expects, that more than 400 777s will be delivered up to 2030, with a high number being ordered by airlines in the Middle East.
