Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow (VDTM) has been certified as an approved maintenance organisation for Russia’s Sukhoi Super Jet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft.
Granted under Russian federal aviation regulations 285, the approval means VDTM can now provide line maintenance, structural repair and non-destructive testing services on the aircraft from its Moscow-Sheremetyevo facilities.
VDTM said the certification also has scope to expand into base maintenance services and include additional line stations in future.
The SSJ100 approval adds to a number of existing certifications covering Boeing and Airbus aircraft types.
Evgeny Kochetov, general director of Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow, said the SSJ100 approval was necessary due to the growing number of the aircraft entering Russian airline fleets, as well as in Western Europe, Asia and Latin America.
