Wencor Acquires U.S. Repair Station Silver Wings

The parts specialist announced the buyout of the Florida-based Part 145 repair provider on Nov. 13.

In a move aimed at growing its component repair scope, replacement parts provider Wencor Group has announced the acquisition of Silver Wings Aerospace, a certified 145 repair station located in Princeton, Florida.

Silver Wings, which specializes in electric power and hydraulic component repair with a focus on used serviceable material, was founded in 2007 by the Montalvo family and has operated as a family-owned business.

Chris Curtis, CEO of Wencor Group, said in a statement released Monday (Nov. 13): “This partnership aligns with our strategy to drive ATA chapter depth and proprietary component repair capabilities while enhancing our presence in USM.”

Terms of the transaction and any potential organizational changes have not been disclosed. Aviation Week has contacted a Wencor spokesperson for comment.
