WheelTug Adds 135 737NGs To Backlog

WheelTug Aircraft Drive Systems has won another slot purchase agreement with an undisclosed 737NG operator. The 135 new reservations bring its backlog to nearly 450 delivery slots reserved by eight airlines. Its electric drive system uses electric motors, installed in the nose gear wheels of an aircraft, to provide full mobility on ground without the need for the aircraft’s jet engines or tugs for pushback and taxi operations.
