A350 XWB Completes Cold Weather Testing

Airbus’ A350 XWB development aircraft has completed cold weather trials at Iqaluit, Canada, supported by a 48-strong team of Airbus specialists. While temperatures reached as low as -28°C the team conducted tests such as: APU and engine starts after cold soak; verifying system behaviours; low-speed taxi and rejected take-offs. This latest phase of the development test programme closely follows the completion of the high altitude tests in Bolivia..
