Airbus and Indonesia’s Lion Group have signed a training centre services agreement under which flight training programmes for Lion Group carriers will be developed in accordance with Airbus and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. Airbus will provide syllabi, training documentation, tools and the courseware necessary for training courses for Airbus aircraft to be conducted at Lion Group’s Angkasa Aviation Academy. Airbus has also agreed to have personnel stationed at the academy’s simulator training centre in Jakarta. The centre already has simulators for existing aircraft types operated by Lion Group, with four A320 simulators on order. The first of these will be delivered this month.
