Boeing Reports 4Q Profit Increase

Boeing has reported a 4Q profit increase of 26 per cent to $1.23bn, but shares in the manufacturer fell as the company said revenues and profits would be lower than forecasted. Revenue rose six per cent in the full year to a record $86.6bn and core earnings per share increased 20 per cent to a record $7.07. Boeing said it expected to deliver between 715 to 725 aircraft this year. "Strong fourth-quarter results underscored an outstanding full year of core operating performance that drove record revenue and earnings and increased returns to shareholders," said Boeing chairman and CEO Jim McNerney.
