Boeing’s DRT Improves Wireless Testing

Boeing subsidiary Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) has unveiled an “easier and faster” way for wireless carriers and infrastructure providers to assess cellular networks, allowing them to identify where upgrades may be required. The DRT4311B unit features a software-defined radio architecture and wideband receiver that allows operators to use the same device to measure multiple frequency bands without changing hardware. Aiming to reduce costs and increase productivity, the unit can also scan between 2G, 3G and 4G networks and is compatible with any Android device.
