Boeing Uses GE For 777X Studies

Boeing has chosen GE as its engine partner on the twin-aisle next-generation 777, expected to enter into service near the end of the decade. The development study on improvements, known as 777X, hopes to extend the 777’s efficiencies and reliability by increasing fuel efficiency, enhancing passenger comfort and increasing range. The next step for 777X may include offering the aircraft to customers and launching it as an aircraft programme.
