CAS Signs For 70 A320 Aircraft

China Aviation Supplies (CAS) has agreed an order for 70 A320-series aircraft, reflecting the strong Asian demand for single-aisle jets.

CEO and president of CAS Li Hai and president of Airbus Fabrice Brégier signed a general terms agreement in Berlin. Chinese premier Li Keqiang, on a state visit to Germany, and chancellor Angela Merkel were on hand to witness the signing.

Noting that the in-service Airbus fleet with Chinese operators numbers more than 1,000 aircraft, Brégier commented: “Our 30-year history of partnership with China keeps growing and expanding through agreements such as these.”
