Embraer Selects Suppliers For E-Jets

Embraer has named more of the suppliers for the second-generation of E-Jets, expected to enter service in 2018. Moog will supply the fly-by-wire control systems that consist of flight control computers and all of the hydraulic actuators of the primary surfaces, spoilers, and ground spoilers. Rockwell Collins was named as the supplier for the horizontal stabiliser control system, consisting of electronic controls and mechanical actuators. Liebherr was chosen for the air management system, including the engine bleed, deicing, air conditioning, and cabin pressurisation systems.
