GE Delivers First Production Wing Components For A350 XWB

GE Aviation has delivered its initial production wing fixed trailing edge components for its first A350 XWB; the aircraft is now structurally complete and undergoing ground testing in Toulouse. According to the component provider, the wing fixed trailing edge package is the largest production contract that they have been awarded and comprises of 3,000 components that included structural composite panels and complex machined assemblies. GE Aviation will provide the wing fixed trailing edge for all three A350 XWB family members: the A350-800, -900 and -1000.
