LMI Aerospace Closes Savannah Site

LMI Aerospace has closed a machining plant located in Savannah, Georgia only a year and a half after it opened. The company reported an $11m drop in sales for Q1 2013. Losses amounted to $59m. The 112,000sq-ft facility produced parts for Boeing and Gulfstream. A $3.2m investment was used to build the machining plant.
