MTU Hands Over 300th Gp7000 Module

Three months after the 250th GP7000 engine was handed over to Airbus’ HQ in Toulouse, MTU Aero Engines has completed and delivered the 300th low-pressure turbine and the 300th turbine centre frame. The engine manufacturer has a 25 per cent stake in the GP7000 engines that power the A380. The GP7000 is built by Engine Alliance, a joint venture of General Electric and Pratt & Whitney. MTU is the third-largest partner in the programme and contributes the low-pressure turbine, the turbine centre frame and components of the high-pressure turbine.
