A new Boeing research and technology centre will work with leading Brazilian scientists to develop aerospace technologies. The facility will seek to develop sustainable biofuels, advanced air traffic management systems, remote sensing technology, advanced materials, bio-materials and support services. Based at the São José dos Campos Technology Park the centre will collaborate with the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the University of Sao Paulo. Meanwhile, Brazilian government support will come from the department of aerospace science and technology and the National Institute for Space Research. Boeing will also work with Embraer at the centre.
