Passenger Test Flight For A350

Airbus has flown an A350 test aircraft with a full load of passengers and cabin crew for the first time. The aircraft took off on the first of two flights from Toulouse-Blagnac airport at 09:20 yesterday (June 2). The test flights, which are not required for technical certification, aim to replicate normal commercial flight conditions, allowing the OEM to see how the widebody’s cabin systems operate in a “real airline environment” ahead of its launch later this year. “We’ll be looking at everything from the in-flight entertainment system and overhead storage bins to the air conditioning and lavatories,” said test director Christophe Bertrand.
