Sigma Develops X-ray Capacities For NDT

Sigma Components is to invest £150,000 in new x-ray technology to bring component testing capabilities in house. The Farnborough-based company has hired two radiologists to develop x-rays for non-destructive testing across Airbus, Bombardier and Boeing aircraft.  Sigma has also announced that it will receive £1.2m of support from the UK government’s “sharing in growth” programme which aims to help local aerospace firms to expand. The money will fund a series of business improvement initiatives at the company over the next five years.
