SSJ100 Flight Simulator Achieves EASA Certification

The new full flight simulator (FFS) for training on the SSJ100 aircraft has been certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA.) The certification closes the Synthetic Training Device (STD) Evaluation Team (SET) process that EASA, SuperJet International, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and L3 have participated in. The FFS aims to provide type rating courses and pilot training. The FFS, which is the first simulator for a Russian civil aircraft to achieve the certification by EASA, arrived in Venice for installation last December and so far six pilots and four technicians have started the ground course managed by SuperJet International’s instructors.
