Unison Cools Down The LEAP-1B

Unison Industries has been awarded a life-of-the-programme contract by Snecma to provide its air-cooled oil coolers for the LEAP-1B engine produced by CFM international. The LEAP-1B engine will power the 737 MAX, expected to enter service in 2017. The air-cooled oil coolers for the LEAP-1B optimise system weight and improve air flow through the use of its integrated fin technology (IFT), contributing to reduced fuel consumption. The lightweight conformal surface cooler technology was introduced on the GEnx-1B engine powering the 787 and was also selected for the Passport engine.
