SAP Targets Cloud Emissions

Enterprise software provider SAP has announced that from this year its global facilities and data centres will be fully powered by renewable electricity. The company says that this move will help minimise the company's carbon footprint and also help to reduce carbon emissions of its customers' systems by moving them into a ‘green cloud’. “Committing to 100 per cent renewable electricity in our data centres and facilities is a natural consequence of our business model shift into the cloud,” said Peter Graf, chief sustainability officer, SAP.
