EasyJet Upgrades Crane For Airbus Maintenance

EasyJet acquired a spider crane for lifting heavy components from Airbus aircraft at its London Luton base.

TCA Lifting, a UK-based lifting equipment supplier, announce the sale of a Jekko SPX1275 spider crane to EasyJet on Thursday, Feb. 2. 

The crane will be used to move big components on EasyJet's Airbus fleet. According to Aviation Week Fleet Discovery, the low-cost UK airline leases 105 and owns 130 Airbus aircraft.


  • Lifts weights up to 15,000 lb. (6,803 kg)
  • Lift height more than 85 ft. (26m) with optional lattice jib
  • 4,000 lb. (1,814 kg) pick and carry
  • Dual-power (diesel + 380-volt AC)
